Turkey Nesting Area ?

Since i am new to turkey hunting in Illinois I have all kinds of questions. I want to look for turkey nesting areas when its time i want to try and see some turkey poults. Ive never seen them. So what kind of areas do hens nest in and what do their nests look like are they mounds or leaf piles or depressions or stick or mud? Will toms follow hens to nesting sites or do hens approach nesting sites alone. What do their eggs look like? Okay enough questions for now.Thanks.

How are the eggs in size? Would they be in the size range of a chicken egg? Thanks for the info GobbCaller.
