Benelli Nova with Mad Max Choke - Ammo?

I' m getting back into turkey hunting this year after a mulit-year lay off. I just bought a 12 gauge 3.5 inch Camo Benelli Nova Pump with a 24 inch barrel. Also bought a Mad Max Turkey Choke with constriction of .660.

I' m planning to go out an pattern the gun this weekend. I was wondering if anyone could recommend ammo that has patterned well with this set up.

Any advice is appreciated.

I hope you have better luck than me. I tried the same combo and could not get it to work well. Switched to a TruGlo ported choke and it works very well with #5 3.5 inch Winchester XX. Good luck.

I pattern pretty good with Winchester 3.5 inch #4 but have a SBE with a 28 inch barrel so may be different. Several birds have died since I got the choke so it works for me. I would take a couple of different shells out and see what works best.

I just won a Benelli Nova last week. I' m wanting to order a Kick' s choke but thought about the Mad Max, I just can' t bring myself to it after the whole Dog Whistle incident [:' (] :D

I would have thought that more folks would have this combo. Oh, well. I' m going to give it a try tomorrow.

I don' t have the Nova but I am going to use a Benelli M1 Super 90. I have a TruGlo Strut Stopper on the end of it that from the results of the pattern board looks to be very promising.
