Team 9 Across the Mile' s Team

Hi team, I' m not going to brag that we are going to win because anybody that does get a bird in my book is a winner. So that out of the way are we going to pick a name for our team? Where does everybody hunt? And does everybody have a place to hunt?
Good luck to all teams, Pat

Yes i do belive so. And it sounds like you have your hunt locked up as far as where you are going I just hope it pans out for you. I' ll be hunting in northern Pa in Susquehanna county. I have been watching a few gooblers but one in particular. Hopefully I' ll have a year like 2 years ago. 11.5" 1.5 spurs we' ll see.

Just got back tonight from getting my hunting slip signed to turkey hunt. 250 acres of good ground in Oh. Should be able to take 2 birds this season. Last year only got one. It weight 19 1/2 and had a 10 1/2" beard. Spurs were 1 1/4. Team 9 looks good to me. April 28 is when season opens here. For a name what about TOMS R US. I know I know

I hunt in Sonora, Texas. Yea I have a place to hunt and we are covered in birds. It looks like I can' t start until April 5 though, as that is wneh our season opens. I have gotten a gobbler for 7 years running, and I' m just 15 so Hopefully I can help our team and continue my streak.

Team I need to tell you that my wife and I sufferd the trogic loss of my little hunting buddy on March13th at 1140pm. He was premature and ther was nothing they could do for him. He si going to be creamated so that I can tkae him on the hunt with me and then to be spread over my favorite hunting spot where I had hoped to hunt with down the road. I am sorry if this reply offends anyone but really had to tell a close group of turkey hunters as there is on this site. God bless all of you and please give your child a hug. Pat E;y

I' m sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel because years ago we lost a child at birth although it was full term. May the God of all comfort be with you and yours during your season of grief.

Sorry to hear about your loss Pat.I will keep you in my prayer' s through this tough time.

As far as where I hunt,I live and hunt in the upper penninsula of michigan.
The turkey population look' s good I hunt on private land.
As far as a name for our team,I don' t know,It could be something like
Across the mile' s T-9
N-S-E-W Turkey Stalker' s
Far&Wide Turkey Team
Long Beard Seaker' s

These are just a few Idea' s that are off the top of my head.As it look' s like our team is spread far and wide.
I think it' s kinda cool I get on a team #9

I start hunting the 26th of April and I have gotten word that the bird I was watching al l winter is still in the same area just waiting for me to sweat talk him. I think I am going to go up next Wednesday and look around. Still snow where I hunt so not sure how much I' ll get done. Pat

scored on a 19.5 lb, 7/8" spur, 9 1/2" beard . have called another good one into about 35 yds. but the hen with him was at about 10 feet . I could not move my gun for the shot without spooking her and him, so they walked off to be hunted another day. Had 5 jakes within 15 steps one afternoon( 2- 5" and 3- 3" beards).Let them go to gobble next year.:D:([X(]

Sorry for your loss from a member of team 11. My wife had cancer back when I was younger and dumber. Unfortunately after surgery our hopes vanished of ever having a hunting buddy. To this day it gets kind of lonely in the woods, but it gives a guy alot of time to think. Fortunately for you , I hope, you can try again, good luck and God Bless.[:' (]
