Scopes for turkey guns

I'm going turkey hunting for the first time next spring:). I bought a Knight TK-2000 last week now I need a scope (bad eyes). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Money not an object.

really any low powered quality scope would do just fine. You get what you pay for in optics so I would go for a Nikon or Leupold instead of a tasco or BSA. I have a 1.5 - 4x nikon with the turkey plex and i think its about perfect. I have taken four birds with it so far. I used to laugh at the thought of using a scope to shoot a turkey at 30 yards, now i don't know how i did it without one haha.

Along with NikonandLeupold, Burris has been making a name for themselves when it comes to scopes on turkey guns. As previously mentioned pretty much any low powered scope will work fine.
You might also take a look at a red dot or holo sight. Ihave beenparticularly impressed with the Eotech holo sights.
Good luck on your choice.

I have used a Nikon Monarch Turkey Pro for years on my 11-87. Same as you bad eyes - can't see back ramp on open sights.

I'll have to go with JW! on the Nikon Turkey Pro scope. JW! recommended it to me, I believe 3 years ago. Ain't misjudged a bird since. Also, I haven't had to nail shelter rafters backfor two years, last time JW! was here. dog1

I just bought a new Mueller MX1 red dot and I really love it. Has no magnification, but definetly eliminates the need to look at two parts of a sight, the front and rear. Great quality scope.

I have used a leupold for several years with good luck. If you get a variable check out the eye relief for the different powers. Sometimes the eye relief for the high power requires you to have the exact distance from eye to scope to get a good sight picture which can cause last minute movement for aiming....

I was leaning towards the the Leupold 2-7X32 with the turkey plex. I would leave the scope on 2X or 4X while hunting. Might get the Nikon Monarch if the price is right.

Another vote for the Leupold 1X4 shotgun scope.;)
