Gobbling on a mouth call

Last week I picked up a trick to purr on a mouth call, make a sound like you are gargling. I apologize as I don't remember who that was but it was great. Thank you. I had never tried that method but it is so much easier and sounds so much better than using just your lips.

So what is the trick to gobbling on a mouth call???
Thanks.

I am picturing that now. I don't think I should try that here at the office.

PoP's , All though it sounds neet to gobble on a mouth call , the beginner /Learner should worry about practicing the Hen calls , the use for the Gobble is very limited other then raiseing some eyebrows in a crowd. The amount that it is used in a hunting situation is also very limited. As far as to learn on the Mouth call you have to practice alot , you try to do TuKa-TuKa-tuka-tktktktktk as fast as you can with a continueus flow of air from your lungs , the same as the Tube call...BT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll take a Kick at the Cat here on exsplaining the Purr

If a hunter can gargle with like mouth wash , that is the same way you use a mouth call with a Purr. by placeing the call in your mouth do not apply a lot of presure and do a dry gargle , then slowly and lightly apply persure to the latex reeds allowing the vibration to travel between the tongue and the reeds, stop when the pitch sounds right. By closing down your mouth opening this will allow the sound to quiet down and only give a small opening to come out making it easyer to control the call. Its the throat viberations on the call that make the Purr. Enough practice you can do a fighting Purr on a mouth call aswell and the Purr and Cluck....BT Hows that !

BossTom, You are the man. I am always trying to learn something new. Just like the purr that you had explained. I had never heard that before and it just seemed so much easier than how I was doing it.

Like you said, maybe to raise an eyebrow. I don't think I would ever use it in the woods (might try to drive the wife nuts <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) too many yahoos in the woods to do that. I do use the &quot;TuKa-TuKa-tuka-tktktktktk ' method, was just hoping for another option.

Thanks again for the purr tip.
