what decoys to use when?
 

I was wondering what decoys to use in different situations. Say you had a jake and 2 hens, a feeding hen and an alert hen, do you use all three? Or just two, or even one? Another question i have is if the strutting gobbler decoys work? and when to use them? One last question, do you use decoys in the woods or just fields?

Everygbody has their own favorite set-up and mine is 3.
3 hens one at atention the other two feeding spaced about 6 to 8 ft apart. Do not group them. or I ahve used the Strutting Tom decoy in place on one hen and then a hen is palced directly on the ground in front of him. I have had very poor success using a Jake decoy.

Then at times I use one hen or no decoy at all. Depends on what style of hutning I am doing and how much other hunting pressure the birds I am after have undgergone.
