NY/CO Public Land??

NY/CO Public Land??
i know that no one likes to give up there hunting spots, but i was wondering if anyone here from NY or CO knows of any good pieces of public land that hold birds. i am from long island new york but go to school at the Air Force Academy in colorado springs. my dad and i love to turkey hunt but dont own any of our own land upstate, and we havent been able to find any good public land that holds birds yet. and as far as colorado, i would love to do some hunting out here but i have no idea where to go. any help would be awesome, thanks guys! feel free to PM me if you dont want the whole internet knowing your secret spot.

Rampart Range which isn't far from Colorado Springs has birds (I've been told). All of the area between you and Canon City has birds. In fact, I think the entire front range has them. I killed my first CO turkey this year (moved here in 06) south of Salida. Get on the DOW's web site and you can find a map of their range in pdf.

yea new york has a lot of public land, but most of it that i have hunted had no birds on it whatsoever. i was wondering if anyone knew of any public land in NY that actually holds birds.

Dude I drove threw up state NY a couple times this spring and that friggin state is full of turkeys!!!! I've seen more turkeys in NY then any state I've ever beren in!!!!
