Spoke With Both Indian Creek & HeviShot
I purchased the Indian Creek turkey choke for my Mossberg 835, and I want to use HeviShot-13, 3.5", 2-1/4oz., but I wasn't sure if I should use #5, or #6 shot, so I called both Indian Creek, and HeviShot. I explained to them that I'm not so worried about your normal turkey shot yards, but beyond that. They both said go with the #6 shot over the #5 shot cause of pellet count, but the #5 is also good. So this late spring or summer I will test out the #6 shot. Indian Creek told me at 50 yards with this ammo I should have 35 to 40 pellets in a turkey's neck area, he went on to tell me that he took a bird this year at 58 yards with this ammo. So hopefully I get the same results

Several hunters are getting high pellet counts with the IC choke and #6 shot hevi-shot. I have read over on the NWTF forums where they were getting high 200 - low 300 pellet counts in a 10 inch circle from 40 yards away.
