I was looking into getting a new turkey gun. I was wondering what you guys thought of the remington 11-87 how does it pattern what choke are you using with it and what shells? thanks for any help and any opinions.

I'm sure the 11-87 is a fine gun but I wouldn't count on someone elses choke/shell combination working since it's a different gun. Someone elses 11-87 might shoot lights out with a particular choke/shell combo but with a different gun it may shoot like he!!. Someone elses combo might be a good place to start but I wouldn't count on it being the best you could get. Simp

Remington 11-87 is a very good shotgun, you are going to pay for the semi automatic action but as long as that isn't an issue you should really like it. Can't ever go wrong with a Remington shotgun

After looking into them a little more i think im going to go with the remington 870 sps shurshot synthetic turkey its cheaper and i dont really need the semit auto you should only need one shot any way right lol

Either one.. I have the newest 11-87 super mag turkey gun with the sureshot stock and it shoots good.. With a JellyHead choke and Hevi Shot #6's I get 180 pellets in a ten inch circle at 40 yards...
870 good too but just a lot more recoil vs an auto, it is only one shot.. I bought this one so my wife could use it also.. She does good with it..
