Well in a few hours - Off to Michigan!
 

My 22nd yr - last year I shot a bearded hen which is in for mount. Hope to get her back in May.

We run our areas 24/7 both Saturday and Sunday to pattern birds. All I need is to hear a gobble and I am of to the next place. Then as flydowns happen we try to keep circling till we get a glimpse of Mr. Tom to see just how good he is. Been doing this with great success. My partner - who brought me into this disease 22 yrs ago does the same thing but covers the south part of the county as we have many small, medium and Large tracts of private and some public to scout. About 9 Am each day we meet for coffee and sit down with maps and show where each of us have found a good gobbling bird. Ten we stay together and try to go find those birds yet another time. About noon we loose contact so we go grab a field - take a nap int he truck - and if ya wake take a peek as you might just see a Tom or two. Then off the rest of the day until we split and both try to roost. Do the same thing all over again on Sunday. That way Sunday night we should both have a primary and a secondary place to go if we screw the first one up. In two days if you stay at it you can pattern them rather well.

So look out You Pee of Michigan - here I come............
