I wonder what effect a full fan tail will have on other boss gobblers coming into range.

Curious to see your responses...

I have had mixed success with PB using a full fan.... Several guys on this and other forums have suggested substituting a Jake fan. Makes sense...... Best of luck to you. Let us know how you fare!

I killed a nice tom last year using the pretty boy i set them up about 18 yards or so away with the both of them
facing away from me the birds like to circle in from behind the birds especially a hen too mount her that gives
you the chance to reposition yourself if need to us the spacer stick it comes with to open her up and set her right on the ground that makes her look like is about too be bred other then that GOOD LUCK

I used them last season with sucess but got to see both ends of the spectrum. The first bird was either a small 2 year old or a very decent Jake, either way the pretty boy sent him running. He is kinda big. The next bird that came in was a Jake followed by a 3 year old bird that comensed to whoppin on pretty boy while purring the whole time :DI sent an arrow through him ;)I used the real fan and in wind it looks killer with the deak moving around. I like mine facing me as well as the Hen. Sometimes a gobbler will get discouraged when he is strutting from behind and gobbling because the Hen and Tom decoys wont look at him so hell come on in to get in there face and get there attention. Deal sealed :)I found that drilling a small hole in the top side of the Hen and using a strong wire stake with the tip bent over is way better that using a rock inside as suggested by knight and hale.

The Pretty Boy has been awesome for us over the past 2 seasons! I've seen aggression that I've never thought I would see with this decoy! I've also seen mature Gobblers run hundreds of yards across huge IL ag fields to stand face to face with this decoy. I know one thing, this decoy will ALWAYS be a part of my turkey huntin' bag of tricks! One thing is for certain, place the Pretty Boy EXACTLY where you want to Tom to stand for a shot! The Pretty Boy positions them perfectly the majority of the time.
