Striker Woods
 

Over the past month I' ve been building custom strikers from a number of different woods and have been asked about Purpleheart and Osage Orange often. This past week I picked up these two woods to try. I turned one of each and they sure looked nice, only I never found them any better sounding then my old Secret wood at all, just a Slight different pitch on the mix surfaces. Have you tried these exotic woods?...BT

WOOD. Im in the process of building a shop right now and as soon as its complete
im planning on building some of my own, including some friction calls.

I havn' t used Osage Orange yet, but plan on getting one pretty soon. I do however have several purple heart strikers and love them. Especially on crystal and or glass. Beautiful strikers there bud!

Once again BT, great looking strikers!

I bought one of BT' s Secret Wood strikers and it sounds awesome! I have been practicing with it on my CodyII slate and my World Class glass and they both sound much better than when I was using the hickory strikers that came with the calls. Thanks BT!
