Turkey researcher T.R. Michels toldme they generally start about 45 minutes before sunrise, with a gobbling peak within 15 minutes of sunrise, depending on how much cloud cover there is.

I forgot, T.R.has a video on You Tube of turkeys flying up to roost in the night, and down in the morning. He said they didn't gobble much at all on the day he took the flydown video.

i have had them gobbling as early as 4:16a.m., had to wait almost 2 hours before i could go in after him, lol......but i got him on the 3rd day.....
