Which Type?

which type do you prefer? Slate, Glass, aluminum, Slate over glassm or glass over slate
BTW: how do you make a poll? I tried to make this a poll but couldnt figure it out.

RE: Which Type?

There`s already a poll for this at the top.:)Sorry didn`t read the whole thing, though you were polling types of calls. My choice would be slate.

I love the sound of a good slate call!!!!!

For pure turkey sounds, IMO, nothing beats slate in a wood pot. Add a well balanced striker and put both in the hands of a seasoned friction caller, and whew! Now you' re talkin' turkey!!

I' ve heard some really good glass calls too, but slate is my #1 choice.

Foo, I agree. That M.A.D. super crystal glass call with the Purple Heart striker is just awesome sounding!! Don' t get me wrong guys, Slate calls sound great as well, but if any dampness gets on that call surface, it kills the sound in a hurry!!!![:-]

I love em all but I still use my Primos Power Crystal more than any other friction call.

I' ve gotta go with my slate just seem to get more action out of it. Although I have had my crystal work well also. I think I just have a better handle on the slate and the sounds I can get out of it especially purrs.
