I will be hunting for my first time this Spring for turkey in easyern kansas. Any tips or pointers. How do I know the area am going to hunt has turkey? And what to look for ?

The NWTF website has a wealth of info. Read it first and then come back with questions. This will save you and everyone here a lot of keystrokes!

make sure your good at your calls, Yelping works the best for me anyhow... Make sure you dont move to much.. i dono what else... Go to the NWTF website like Dr Andy said.. Good luck

Ask local land owners if they have turkeys and if you can hunt or ask your game warden they are a big help.
Walk the ridges and call with locater calls.

Yes indeed, all that plus go back through the posts in this Turkey Hunting Forum. The "How to " has been address in several past posts by hunters which have a vast amount of turkey hunting & scounting experience over many years.
