The first hog I ever even saw (not to mention shot) I took while turkey hunting in south carolina. He was 9 steps. Remington Hevi-shot #6s, right behind the ear. I'd already shot a nice gobbler that morning too.... it was a long walk back to the truck.

Man that pig looks tasty. Too bad we don't have some around here. It would be nice to be able to go out and get some meat in the off-season.

Watch a vidoe the other day and this guy shot a yote at 20 yards right in the face with a 20ga and the hevi 13 load... Dropped the yote in his tracks:)

Had to be on private property because yotes don't get that close on public land.:D

I dropped a coyote at 25 yards in his tracks with a 20 gauge using 6 lead shot. I also dropped one with a .410 dead in his tracks at15 yards. Shot both of them behind the shoulder. Actually, I was really stunned to see both drop in their tracks.Coyotes aren't pigs. It doesn't take much to drop a coyote. It takes a little more to drop a pig, especially a big one. Those little ones sure make for good eating.

Way to do..."Pigged Out" on a windy day....

Do you guys really think one needs some "Special" load to harvest a "Piggy" at 15 yards??????

Hope you get a gobbler tomorrow.....send photo....

Using hevi shot would be nice but at 35 bucks a box can't afoad it.
