Anyone use a Kicks choke tube?
 

I just came across the brand Kicks, and saw they have the tube called "Gobblin Thunder". Looks like a great choke. Has anyone ever used it and is it worth the $70? Thanks

i use that tube with win. extended range and love it i wouldn't think about if i should shoot a bird at 50 yards i'd pull the triger

I have one on my 870. If I were to do it over again I probably would have bought a "Rhino". My dad has one on his 870 and that thing is worth every penny, plus you can shoot hevi shot thru it. The older "Kicks Gobblin Thunders" you can't, don't know if that has changed. But if you ever think your going to shoot "hevi" make sure the tube is made for it.
I've shot many birds with the "gobblin thunder", the only reason I don't like it ALOT, is I think it should hold a better pattern at long range (40+).But, that is probably because I bought one that was to restrictive. Don't know what restriction it is, but it's tight. If you want to know p.m. me and I'll look into it.

Well im looking for a good choke that patterns WITHIN 40 yards, not beyond it. I dont shoot past 40 yards no matter what choke i have. Nothin against anyone that does, just my own personal range. I have an AccuMag "Ulti Full" tube on my Mossberg 835, but i do believe it can get "tighter" if i upgraded to a new choke tube.

Call Kicks Industries and tell them what kind of gun you have and they will tell you what restriction shot best for them in their testing. They are very helpful in that regard.

Ive got one in my Stoeger M2000, and love it. It shoots great, but you cant shoot Hevi Shot out of it. But it shoots 5s great.

Im not worried about the Hevi-Shot issue. Im committed to Winchester ammo and will continue to be. I just want something that really throws out a nice pattern at 40 yards.
