choke
I have a mossberg 600AT by new haven and I can not change my chokes and i was told that it should be deadly at 45 yards without having a full or extra full choke so whatsyour opinion on turkey hunting with a improved cylinder choke...Thanks alot

RE: choke
Improved cylinder would not be what I would recommend at all for turkey. I dont like to shoot much past 45 even with an X-Full turkey choke. I would go out and pattern it but may thinking would be 30 yards at a max distance, maybe closer but go out and shoot it and see.

I agree. An improved cylinder is designed to open up a pattern quickly. No way will it give you turkey killing patterns at long range. I'd think you'd be limited to 25 yd. max. Pattern it.

Iam afraid someone has mislead you of the 45 yards with an improver cylinder. I would think more like 25, but testing it on paper will tell for sure.
Tight patterns have their advantage to place good head shots without putting pellets in the meat which is a good idea unless you have a good dentist.
