HS V-Pod Gun Rest
 

I just bought this gun rest. I have to say that I really like it. It was hard for me to sheel out the 30 bucks for it, but im glad I did. Just a heads up for you folks that may have been looking at it. It seems to work really well.

Does it fold up along the barrel or do you have to take it off when walking around?

It folds up along the bottom of your barrel. The gun rest is metal, but there is a plastic clamp that grabs the bottom of the barrel.

Heres some pics. I have a 28" barrel and it still extends farther than the barrel. For those of you that shoot a 20 inch barrel it would be a pain in the butt. I dont know why they didnt make it shorter

Not to be argumentative, but doesn't the rest limit ones final movement of the gun for an approaching turkey elevation & left to right??

Does the fact that it attaches to the barrel effect the pattern?? Never seen it tested on shot, but I have seen it change the point of impact of a slug when a sling was mounted to the barrel??

Please give me your thoughts....

height wise you couldnt adjust it with a turkey approaching. But the gun rest allows you to swing the gun to the left and right. It has a swivel in it. I plan of taking it out to pattern the gun before the season. I put some fiber optic sights on it today and I want to make sure I dont need to adjust them . Ill let you know how it shoots here in a few days.
