RE: opinion on mouth calls
My favorite are Knight n Hales. They have a great selection. I've had one call for about 5 years, it's brown with a yellow reed. It's my baby. Last year I bought a pack of 3 or 4 knight n hales, theyre white with white reeds, love em.

I have found that the Primos Sonic Dome calls are very user friendly and can make the varied calls. The mini dome however seems to way too small and hard to hit that first yelp.
|
RE: opinion on mouth calls
Quakerboy World Champ , or because tkycaller won't make me any I have to make my own too :D
Whata lot don't know about QuakerBoy Mouth Calls are they press out their own frames, so they are different from other companies... |

ORIGINAL: SHOTARYE I always liked the "Old Boss Hen" from Quaker Boy. Great call! |
RE: opinion on mouth calls
I'm another big HS fan. They have a lot of different cuts I like but I exclusively use HS calls.
|
RE: opinion on mouth calls
Everyone should really expand their turkey vocabulary. You never know what call will work on any given day. I've never had a call that works everytime. Try them all.......
|
RE: opinion on mouth calls
I really like the A-frame primos and the Sonic dome makes a good sound but it is a little bit harder to work with. River valley outdoes both of those though with the sweet talker and the triple split. I use them now until they break because iw alk around the house with them in my mouth way to much and the plastic come off. (I have ruined three primos call this year, but havent ruined any River Valley's yet.)

RE: opinion on mouth calls
I stopped using Production Calls when I found a few guys that make Custom Diaphragms. I haven't used another Production Call since finding these Custom Made Calls!Custom Made Diaphragms are Consistent from one call to the next due to the calls being Hand Laid, have close set reeds, light stretch (my preference) which requires less air and give you better control of the call (from soft calls toloud calls and everyting inbetween). Most production calls are machine made and are stretched too tight, inconsistent atbest from call to call, take too much air to blow and are too hard to control the sound!
