I need a low-cost blind
Anyone know some turkey hunting blinds that won't take a chunk from my wallet?

RE: I need a low-cost blind
In the current sale flyer from (http://natchezss.com/) there are Ameristep Doghouse pop up blinds for $99 and change. They are the good camo patterns as well. My nephew has one of these and they are a very good blind, I would recommend it to anyone. He shot a gobbler from it last April in the rain but he stayed dry. This is a good price for the Doghouse blind too, don't think you will find it any cheaper anywhere.

RE: I need a low-cost blind
I developed a homemade wall blind out of 25' of burlap camo. Roll it up like a bed roll and tie parachute cord around both ends and throw it over your shoulder. For setup it just takes a few small trees or branches out in the woods. I sometimes use arrows and clothes pins too. Check out the two pictures in my turkey hunting photos. Contact me if you want additional info.

I don't think you can go wrong with buying one. You will be amazed at how much you can get away with from behind the blind. I can hunt pretty relaxed now. My primary reason was for bowhunting but I now use it during the shotgun season. |

Thanks, was that blind hard to make? It didn't look like it was too hard.

Not at all. The hardest part is finding the sporting goods store that sells camo cloth by the yard. The rest is about using the woods and a few items to keep it upright. I normally look for one big tree for me and 2-3 small trees to get a V, 0, or ) shape.

RE: I need a low-cost blind
My wonderful wife bought me an Avery 12' panel blind the other year. Great little blind. It rolls up real nice and tight and comes with a little carry bag and carrying strap. It has about six fiberglass poles that hold the blind up and go into the earth. I use it more for deer but break it out once or twice a year for field hunting turkeys.
