I just made the call and will be going to Kansas for turkey this year! I will be hunting April 11-14 and hope to see tons of birds!

I hope you seea ton of birds too. When we went out last year we did just that. Had thirty gobblers within bow range between the two of us. Not all of them gave us shots but they were within 20 yds. That was in three days!!!

I getting fired up! Not quite sure about the land I will be hunting but heard there are a ton of bids. I will have some home work to do befoe then.

I predict this is gonna be a killer year in Kansas due to the lack of birds taken last year!!!! only crap part is.... I also predict that this is gonna be a nasty ass spring...

I'll agree with you there. We have a lot of birds to pick from, but we are going to have to fight the weather................[&:]

I've elk hunted there several times. With no luck.

Do you like turkey hunting more than elk hunting?

We got 4 inches of snow last night and its gonna be 53 today....
Its gonna be a wet nasty mess around here... They opened up the spillway on the lake 3 days ago and we are almost 2 feet too high already...

We just ended up with a skiff here, and I'm glad we didn't get 4 inches!!! It was so sloppy here, you couldn't hardly go anywhere off the pavement.

I hope it dries up before turkey season, or I am going to have to walk a lllllooooonnnnngggggg way to my turkey spot.

I hope it is not sloppy. I doknow that So. Cal. has been getting rain so the ocean fishing is going to be good this year. I don't mind hunting in some weather but I would hate for a trip to be ruined from it.

Car, I would not say I like turkey more than elk. I am more of an opportunist. Gun, bow, deer, dove, whatever... I just want to hunt.
