Myself, No one in my family hunts I just kinda started hunting on my own...starting with dove and quail, then I moved on to turkey, then deer...but now I have friends who I hunt with and share the experience with all the time

I know that feeling Mr. Longbeard. The good thing was he finally came to his senses and decided it wasnt as bad as he thought. He got more birds when I was around to call them up. Not that he cant but Im definetly a better caller. Plus he knew he was wrong...

My father carried me into the woods of southwest Virginia for the first time when I was only 7 days old (born in the middle of April... not very sporting of me was it). He told me later in life that some of the first noises he ever heard me make were reptitions of his mouth calls. He still remembers changing my diapers on blown over logs and burying them in old stump holes. Heck of guy my old man.

My older brother got me hooked on it two years ago and i bagged my first turkey last year.

Myself, I went with my father a few times but never really hunted them with him.... I bought calls and made a fool of myself for a while...

On my very first hunt in Texas, my FIL took me to the ranch. He was an ******* who never liked me. After I was married to his daughter for 5 years I was finaly invited while on leave. He took off with his son and left me to fend for myself. I got a nice jake first time at bat and the fact that it pissed him off has secured my addiction to the sport. He never was able to get one. In the years since I don't always get my deer but I do get a tom every year
