Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default 2008 Hunting For A Cure Youth Turkey Hunt in Savannah, TN

Come one Come ALL!

The 4th Annual Hunting For A Cure Youth Turkey Hunt in Savannah, TN will be held on March 21-23, 2008 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. 100% of all proceeds raised benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

The event was started in 2005 and has grown tremendously. In 2005, only 20 hunters hunted and the proceeds raised amounted to only $3400.00, in 2006, 40 hunters hunted and the proceeds raised amounted to $34,000.00. In 2007, it was decided to move to the Hardin County Fairgrounds with the amount of hunters to be 85 which grew to a whopping 100 before it was over. The proceeds raised were right at $140,000.00. We had a lot of bumps and bruises from that event so we (as a committee) decided to reduce the number of kids hunting to 50 and show them a great time. We hope to raise $50,000 to $150,000.

This event needs sponsors on all levels. We need items donated to be in our live auction and items to give as gifts to our young hunters. We need volunteers who are willing to work, too.

Primos, Knight and Hale, Ronnie Smith Outdoors, Team Marlow, Avery Outdoors, RnT Calls, Jim Zumbo Outdoors, Triple Threat, Huzzy Game Calls, Hook's Game Calls, L.F. Cox, Final Flight Outfitters, Indian Creek Outfitters, Eagle Creek Outfitters and a number of others are donating their time and products to the hunt.

Is your company ready to help? Then go to the website and take a look at the donation tab www.huntingforacure.net

You may email me at [email protected]

Thank you for reading this post and May God Bless!

That's nice to see them doing this, but I hunt Fayeteville, in Lincoln county on a lease, but good luck to you, anyway.

Hope you get a good bird. Thanks for the positive response. We are always looking for new volunteers so if you ever want to help out give us a shout.

Please remember that 100% of all proceeds raised go to St. Jude!
