New Remington

Did anyone get to see the new Remington 870 SPS-T Shurshot yet? or arent they out yet? trying to decide on which to get the Shurshot or a 870 Thumbhole?

I haven't ever held the shurshot, so this may be a one sided-statement...but I do own the 870 SPS-T with Thumbhole and it is probably the most comfortable gun I have ever held. I saw the 870 SPS-T in a magazine and as soon as I could get to Bass Pro Shops, I went and held / looked at it and imediately knew I had to have it. By far the most comfortable gun I have ever held. No experience with the shurshot though...

if your budget goes out to $500 give the stoeger 2000 a look, its got inertia like the benellis, but is half the price

I've been shooting a pump gun for many years now, but if I were to get a new gun just for Turkey hunting, it would be a Semi-Auto!! I have no complaints with a pump, except when a fast follow up shot is needed. That's where a Semi-Auto shines, since there's no loosing your sight picture or removing your face from the stock in the process of taking the next shot. I'll take the 11-87 over the 870 for that very reason.;)

Not to mention that the gas autoloaders have less recoil. I shoot both the SP-10 and an 870 Super Magnum, and the SP-10 has less recoil than the 870...by quite a bit.
