How many states
 

I remember a story in Turkey and turkey hunting magazine about a guy that killed a turkey in 49 states.
How many different states have you killed turkeys in?
Just here in Wisconsin for me,but I hope to add Michigan to the list this season!!

I've did 14 States , but have also hunted a few 2 or 3 times. Can't see doing all of them , thats about 1000,000,00 in Canadian Money...BT

Minnesota,Wisconsin and South Dakota for me. Going to do my best to add Texas to the list this year.

I assume the only state he didn't get one was Alaska since they have no turkeys or snakes either.

As for me I've got turkeys from Wisconsin and Nebraska.

TN and MO, I've hunted in LA,MS,SD with no luck. I don't know how he pulled off 49, unless he was a resident in North Dakota, you have to be a resident to hunt turkeys there both spring and fall. I was up there 3 years and never drew a tag

Unfortunately, I have only hunted close to home here in Missouri. Every bird I have taken has come from within 5 miles of my home. But the good thing about only hunting one place is that I know the land I hunt like the back of my hand which has a whole lot to do with being successful.

I've hunted in and taken gobblers in 15 states so for. I hope to take a trip to the western states and bag a Merrian in the near future and complete my slam.

It's Ga. for me. I love to hunt right here in my home state. North Ga. has the mountains, middle Ga. has the rolling hills, and south has the costal plain. Not to metion we have one of the longest spring hunting seasons in the country.

As for me...I'll stick close to home.
