Which choke tube?

I recently bought a benelli nova and I was wondering which kind of choke tube to buy. I really don't want to just go out and buy one without knowing about it. I know you can't tell me exactly which one to buy but I'm sure you can give me an idea. I'd like to not spent more than about $30. My friend has an undertaker choke and he says it's real good. I'll be shooting 3 1/2 in. 4's if it matters.

I really like my Comp-n-Choke I use in my Benelli SBE. After you decide on a choke, you might want to try a few different loads out of it to see which patterns best rather then only trying 3.5" 4's. Haha, after you shoot a 3.5" 4 you might not ever want to shoot one again.

Yea I shot my 3 in. 4s today. Man. It's different when your backs to a tree and you shoulder absorbs all the recoil. I might have to reconsider that.

Joel--I use the standard full choke in my shotgun. It's pattern is plenty tight enough at 40 yards. On my pattern targets I usually have 7 to 9 #4 pellets in the kill zone. I think the problem with those super full chokes is that they are too tight. No room for error at those 15 - 20 yard shots. It's been my experience that I take as many shots at 20 yards as I do at 40 yards. Good Luck.

Kick's Gobbling Thunder all the way. It shoots great in my Benelli, and in my Rem 870 and in my Moss 835...

Good Hunting...

I second the Kick's Gobblin' Thunder. It will turn your gun into a turkey shootin' machine! Contact Kick's Industries and they will be happy to recommend a choke for your particular application. Believe me, they will get the job done. Good luck! :)

I have had a Nova for two years and tried several chokes (although not all). I did not like the results with the Undertaker or the M.A.D. but the TruGlo ported works great. For what its worth, I am shooting 3.5 Winchester #5.

FYI if the recoil bothers you too much the recoil reducer that Benelli sells really does work. My 13 yr old was shooting last year with 3 inch turkey loads with the recoil reducer and it did not bother him.

i have a benelli nova that i have hunted with forthe past two years...i shoot a hastings .665 constriction...it puts 40 pellets in the head and neck @ 40 yds with winchester supreme 3.5 #5's with 2 oz. of shot...it is a head buster....and this is the only choke out of any that have been mentioned on here that you can get for 30 bucks
