RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
Robins in NY alreadly? Not denying your sightings, but seems hard to believe. I never see Robins until late March, early April. But I can tell you this warmup certainly is darn nice over the below zero temps. I had a low of minus 24 here last wk. Our local paper reported 21 days in January were below zero! Hey did the groundhog popup today?

After going all winter with little to no snow we are supposed to get 6 to 12 inches of the white stuff. The worst day in the Turkey woods Is by far, more fun, than the best day of any thing else I have ever done. Jerry Edited by - Turkey Addict on 02/02/2003 17:07:30 |
RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
I haven't seen any robins here in Missouri yet but they should be making their appearances any time now.
|
RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
We're finally starting to have signs of spring here in Arkansas. It's been getting a little warm here lately. I've also noticed more birds. Can't wait for turkey season!!

RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
I posted a couple of days ago that I hadn't seen any robins yet. Well, today I saw one and my father-in-law saw one in his backyard birdbath today also. We had a little snow in north Missouri yesterday, but spring can't be too far away now!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
It is 15 degrees below zero right now,and we have a foot of snow on the ground, any robin that shows up here is in for a big suprise.

RE: First sign of spring here in NY!!
Saw the first Robin here in east Tn this week so we thought we'd try to get to the cabin in Va yesterday, bad idea. Must have been 2 foot of solid ice after the rains the night before. Guess we'll have to wait another couple of weeks before that road opens up to get there. I know spring is coming but it sure seems slow.
