Help with changing tone of call.
My M.A.D. The "Aluminator" says it " Includes two pads to quickly change the sound from raspy to sweet." I bought it a long time ago, and do not have the pads. Can you change the tone of a pot call by the direction that you sand it? And if you can, how do you do it?

RE: Help with changing tone of call.
Nick,
When you condition a pot call, condition it one way, only. Then play the call back against the way you conditioned it. This produces the friction that makes a pot call so effective! If you want to make your pot call raspier, use a rougher grit sandpaper. Higher pitch, use higher grit sandpaper. Also, play the call in the middle to get a deeper tone! Let me know if I can help with anything. Merry Christmas!

You can also change the striker and change the tone of the call. Borrow some friends strikers and try them on your call. You and your friends might end up trading strikers.
