RE: bag limits

Here in Virginia we are allowed one per day three per year. We are issued three tags, two are for either fall or spring and then one is spring only.

Man TScott... I miss those VA limits... Here in WA we can get 3 birds, one of them have to be an eastern. The other two can be either rio grandes or merriam.

What is the deer limit in VA these days?

RE: bag limits

WANWTF,

East of the Blue Ridge (except on National Forest lands in Amherst, Bedford, and Nelson counties)
The bag limit for deer for all hunters, including those persons exempt from purchasing a hunting license(s), shall be two a day, four a license year, one of which must be antlerless.

West of the Blue Ridge and on National Forest lands in Amherst, Bedford, and Nelson counties
The bag limit for deer for all hunters, including those persons exempt from purchasing a hunting license(s), shall be one a day, three a license year, one of which must be antlerless. Only one antlered buck may be taken during the special early muzzleloading season per muzzleloader hunter.

Persons exempt from purchasing a hunting license may not harvest more than the license year limit (see above) using a combination of deer tags from their bear, deer, turkey license and deer checked under the landowner license exemption.

Any hunter, including those persons exempt from purchasing a hunting license(s), choosing to take more than the license year limit must use bonus deer permits or special permits (DCAP and DMAP) which are valid only on private land and authorized public lands.

Oregon has a spring bag limit of 1 per day, two per season statewide. Also a 3rd bonus tag for a few counties in the southwestern part of the state.
