Chestnut box call, I swear the wormholes make it sound better, got 10 strikers counting 2 acrylic. Ebony being the best on all surfaces, except maybe pure slate which rosewood is best for those quiet purring moments before the 3 1/2 inch Remington mag goes off.

Tough question BT!I like some cedar, some walnut, and even mahogany. As far as wood strikers, purpleheart and rosewood sooth my ears and ole gobblers too for that matter! But I have a call maker up in Canada that may change my mind real soon!! <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Whats your favorite Wood?
Favorite wood in a call would probably be walnut and my favorite wood in a striker is rosewood but I'm sure there's something out there that is better that I haven't tried yet!
