Cpac, welcome to the board. I have been coming here for quite some time but only recently registered so I could participate. Believe me, you won't regret the day you joined in with this bunch, it is a great place to get the info you need to become the best hunter you can be.

RE: new
ok a question just jumped into my head, ive heard you can use a hen wing feather to call em in question is why does it have to be a hen i shot a tom last year and still got the wings or for some reason is this wrong thing

RE: new
Welcome to the flock cpac.As for the wing thing it doesn't matter which you use.

RE: new
while i got yor attn. im having trouble w my diaphram call i can get some sounds but far from anything a turk would make. i tried soaking it and it got louder but no sweeter. thinking bout gettin a call tape, prolly a good idea huh?

RE: new
the wing is used for when you find a tom,you set up very close to him. you use a fly down call(its a little squaky run type thing)and then do the fan.real turkey wings work best.then the gobbler knows its real.welcome aboard.

Welcome to the roost cpac, you may be thinking of a wingbone call.I think they use the wingbone from a hen when making them.
