what turkey choke tube do you guys recommend for the 12 ga Mossberg 835 Turkey /deer combo shotgun? I know Mossberg has a couple and there are others from different manufactures. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using a primos jellyhead choke tube (I am using a remington 870 SPS-T) and I have had excellent results. I am shooting a very nice tight pattern out to about 50 yards or so. The thing is when trying to find a choke, you may have to try several different ones before you find the one that seems to work the best. You will also have to try several different shotgun shell brands, loads, etc. Each combonation of shell and choke will produce different patterning results.

Do you shoot Hevi shot? That will make a difference. And if your field or woods hunting. Alot goes into picking the right one. I shoot with a Carlson in my Rem 870. With Hevi shot.

I tried the Hevi-shot Hevi 13 in a 3.5" #5 shot and it patterned horibly out of my gun! I don't know if I can emphisize horribly enough. Everything that I have read about the load was suppose to be awesome and you were suppose to get great patterns, however, out of my Rem 870 SPS-T I got terrible results using a Primos Jellyhead choke. Of course, what may not work for me and my gun, may work for you and yours. It's one of those things where you have to give it a try for yourself and see what happens. Best shell I have used so far is the Federal flight control 3.5" #5 shot out of my Rem 870 SPS-T

I use a Trulock Extended (ported) turkey choke in my 870. I use 4 x 6's only because i have a bunch and they pattern well. Took mine this year at 44 yards and laid him out. I will shoot or at least try Hevi one of these years.
