RE: screamin green??
Cut the tape to fit , and allow time for the latex to exsorb moisture and break in. The Number one thing is to KEE-YUK on the call and do not force alot of presure that will stretch or unseat the latex. Take your time,I call Comp. and hear a difference in my calling after a few weeks of not calling don't matter what call I use. That triple is a good call...BT
I like them with Long Sharp Spurs.... |
RE: screamin green??
I haven't used the screeming green, but have worked with a variety of mouth calls. If you can't get good sound you might have to adjust the size of the call with a little trimming. If the call doesn't fit your mouth right you can't control the air flow. This can cause you to get sounds you don't wnat, like the death croak.

RE: screamin green??
i had it in my mouth for a while because i had to walk a while to get to the woods...i dotn want to sound like an idiot walking around the streets so i went to the woods...i guess i will just have to play around and see what sound i make that sounds like a turkey and then work from there...i was decint a few years ago and could yelp cluck purr and even gobble with a mouth call...now i sound like im dying...i guess i did when i first started with all my calls..and the mouth call especially..i iwll play around then maybe trim it...it fits pretty good..i remember when i first started i did ruin one by blowing to hard...this screaming greens latex is nice and soft and at seems to stretch nicer..the other ones i used were paper thin and stretched to the max already...i think i just need to play around

RE: screamin green??
They also make a Heckling Hen Screaming Green. Best out of the box mouth call I've used. Worked alot of birds and took six longbeards this past spring with Screaming green mouth calls and a the "wing" by Will Primos.:).

RE: screamin green??
BT said it. When I get a new mouth call it takes weeks, sometimes a month before it gets broke-in to sound the way I want it to. Some sound good right away, but normally not.

Mauser06, check out this link:
http://turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/stor...fever4pack.htm You can sample audio files of four screamin green calls. My favourite to use (and easiest to blow) has to be the world champ, although I wish QB made some of their other white latex calls in green. |
RE: screamin green??
The "Screamin' green" series of calls that QB makes sounds pretty good!! The best of the bunch in my opinion is the "Jagged Edge" mouth call!!!
