these dang winter turkeys!
 

their here one day gone the next.
back durin gun deer season, the guys were seein a lot of turkeys on
their deer stands. I was seein a lot of turkey tracks. now, I'm lucky if i find one track. I thought maybe they moved across the road where
there's a lot of beech trees. not a whole lot of beech mass this year, but there's some. but I walked that place out a couple days ago
and i didn't see one track. I'm talkin about a lot of bare ground to.
the creek flooded a few weeks ago, and washed all the leaves way back
away from the creek. there's plent of acorns for them to eat, and some beech nuts, so i can't figure out what their doin. unless their just stayin in the woods. but there again, theres no scratchin. I think maybe they went across the creek off our lease, I don't know.
they better be gettin their tails back over here, i got a beman ICS 400 waitin for em!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

ok thanks brokenbucket. I got till the end of Feb, so I got

At least you get to hunt 'em! I gotta wait til March 22nd.
