My folks live in Northern Michigan and they have turkey's all over the place. Their is one bearded hen. I was really surprised when I saw it for the first time.

On the back of the gold coin that Airforce "Airman" get when they graduate from basic training, it says...
The United States Air Force. Giving the enemy a chance to die for their country. Kind of goes along with your post. |
RE: finally a bearded hen
Cool Pic! A girl down my street hit a hen once with her truck and it had an 8 inch beard on it.

RE: finally a bearded hen
Here's a bearded hen i shot. she had an 8.25" beard! crazy thing is there is another one just like her on the same property. i see a couple bearded hens each year but they usually have pretty short, thin beards. i generally won't shoot one unless it's the fall or end of the spring season. oh, and they are legalhere in KS in the spring and fall.
