Displaying Turkey Beards

I put this in the Bowhunting forum but i thought i would put it here too...

Do any of you guys have a cool way of displaying beards and spurs from the turkey you have killed. I have seend guys that cut the spurs off and put them on a leather lanyard. Anyone have any pictures of something they have got set up?

Heres how I display my beards. I take the shell I used to kill the bird and cut all the plastic off, which leaves only the brass. Then I knock out the firing pin, then I take a screw in hook (brass one from Wal mart) and put it thru the firing pin hole and hot glue it, then hot glue the beard in the other end. Then I hang the beard under the tail fan. Its really a simple process.

This is how I have seen some done only if you dont keep the tail fan, screw the beards into a long piece of driftwood and hang it on the wall. Looks pretty cool.

I put this in the other thread, so I'll post it here too. Each one holds 14 beards.Just folded some construction paper in half, and cut out a symmetrical shield, andjig-sawed itout of a piece of 1-by decorative wood from lowe's.

Use square dowels to actually hold the beards (cut notches in the backside).

To add a beard, just pull the two screws, hot-glue the beard into the notch neatly on the backside, then screw it right back on there. On this shield, I popped in an extra screw to hold a double-beard.
