RE: B-Mobile Decoy
Monday a fellow I work with and his cousin killed two birds over it in less than an hour. Set it up in a field and the birds ran in like the thing was giving away free cookies. Temps were in the 30s and the wind was blowing a gale. We didn't even hear a bird in the woods, and they didn't hear one out in the fields either. Never called to the birds, and the birds never gobbled...just came running in to b-mobile and knocked the tar out of him.

SD,
Below is a link to a post I created a while back about the similar thing...Hope it helps...Also the B-Mobile comes with an instructional DVD you might want to check out! Good luck and happy hunting! http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.a...=&#2085064 |
RE: B-Mobile Decoy
The DVD that came with B-Mobile was very helpful. Thanks for the link Mossyoak! I took B-Mobile out the other morning, had two nice gobblers dancing around at 50yds or so strutting, spitting, and drumming but wouldnt come closer. I didnt feel comfortable taking a shot that long with my bow.

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
Yea I wouldnt push a 50 yard shot. I mean you gotta be pretty accurate to put it in the kill zone of a turkey. I'm gonna limit myself to 25-30 yards tops...Glad I could help

(BOB) B-Mobile has the birds in are neck of the woods running right to us.They have all did the same thing as soon as they see BOB they RUN right to check him out. We have taken home 3 birds this year with BOB one of them was a 30 pounder. I realy like BOB!!!

Just wondering if most hunters are using the silk fan or a real fan? I've got both for my B-Mobile and I think the real tail looks better obviously, but I sure like the easy portability of the silk fan. I'm trying him for the first time this weekend, any input would be appreciated.

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
I used the silk fan and brought home a 23# 6oz. tom last sunday B-Mobile . Yes he dose bring them in , the Tom took one look at him and went in full strut and took 4 steps before I took him . Good luck .

Bang- My season started this morning and me and B-Mobile BOB, went out and tagged out at about 6:15 first thing this morning the Tom came right down from the roost and went staight to BOB. BOB was in Toms woods and he did not like that much and tried to beat up BOB but we showed him a thing or two. B-Mobile BOB is the MAN!!!

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
Wow, I love hearing all these success stories about using BOB! I headed out into the South Dakota woods this afternoon with BOB in search of a long beard!! I cant wait!!

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
Talked to a guy this morning that had BOB out and had to big toms beat the crap out of it before he shot one. Said it was the most amazing thing he had ever seen!!

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
Does anyone know where I can get just the real tail fan holder? I'd like to use just the tail fan in my set up. I have not been able to find it sold seperatly.

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
I just got one of the B-mobile decoys but how in the world do you get around in the woods with that thing? Seems if you fold it up like most decoys it retains the folded shape and it appears that it would take a bit to set it up. I am going to try it but I have reservations.

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
In your B-Mobile box is a orange bag, I have used it and it works great. B-Mobile BOB is the man! Did you watch the dvd that came with it? If not I would watch it, it will tell ya all about BOB and how to store him. Are Bob is out on another adventure today, my brother is taking him out to try to score on a bird. OH, I wish I could be BOB( HA HA). I think you will be ok unless you are on the run.

RE: B-Mobile Decoy
IMO I've seen too many birds that shy away from jakes and strutting decoys.About50-60 %typically hang up at about 50yrds. This year I've started using one or two hen decoys. I've onlygot a chance to hunt once, but it worked like a charm. 9.25in beard 1.25in Spurs. My buddy was using a hen and jake setup and he had the same results I've seen over the past few years. Bird hung up at 50 yards.
Just my opinion, but I'm never setting out a strutter or jake again. |
