RE: hard core hen!!

"I" like it just fine. I had8 legal birds come into it on Saturday (because we ALL know it wasn't MY calling....lol). They seemed to like her just fine, that day. I've hunted 3 times since Saturday morning with NO birds coming in to her (or ME;)), since.

Time will tell........

How much does one of those decoys cost?

They're around $100...give or take.

The outfitters I'm seeing on TV, now, are using real, stuffed hens.....at $3-400 a pop.

I looked at that one too, just couldn't pull the trigger on it. I see on TV also, that areas where the birds have any pressure, they are pretty much using all mounted birds.

Its a little cumbersome, but otherwise its great.

I hope hardcore will turn around and make a jake and a feeding hen as well. They have been selling like hotcakes.

100 bucks is a lot of money for a decoy but in this day in age its all about realism. I am a big goose hunter and you can have a good spread but movement is key now a days. birds are getting smarter and you have to work a little harder to fool them. thats wha ti htink at least but who knows.
