Turkeys and Snow?

Hello All,
I am new to turkey hunting. I have been hunting them in the past but have only harvested one hen so far. I was curious as to how the snow would affect Turkeys daily routine. Will they still walk around as much as they would without snow? Will they even flydown at all? Its getting pretty nasty up here in NY, we got almost 6 inches of snow last night. Thanks for the input :D

There's only 1 way to find out!!! I think its a question not many of us actually know. I have yet to see wintery conditions during turkey season. But the birds are moving, and feeding. Seen some strutting as well.

We hunted in 16 degrees and steady snow on April 7 in Wis. The turkeys took their time in flying down, we saw birds fly down from 6 a.m. until almost 8 a.m. That made them stay in that area longer than usual, otherwise not much different except I think our camo clothes were less effective. Maybe snow camo?

Here are just a few photos fromSaturday a week ago up tolast Saturday morning here in NH. I've killed a turkey in WV in the snow and called in one for a buddy of mine in the snow. You might have to work a little harder to get one but I don't think (unless you've got 8+ inches of snow) it will affect their routine. I'm still seeing& hearing them;)

The snow should be gone by opening day. They say it will be near 70 degrees by monday. This fresh snow will go fast.
