Last year I killed 8 longbeards in all states surrounding Ohio. I love turkey hunting more than anything and safe all my leave for at least 4 weeks during the season. Thank you for the comments and hope you have a blessed season.

I just arrived in Missouri and will hunt tomorrow morning. In Iowa, my cousin killed his first longbeard around 11:30 yesterday morning. The birds are still henned up pretty bad, so if anyone lives around Ames, Iowa...wait until late morning for your best chances of killing of a longbeard. From Missouri, I'm back in Ohio for the youth hunt this weekend and then I'm hunting Ohio's opener. I won't be hunting but only calling the first couple of days. After that I'm off to Michigan and Kentucky for my last two places of the year. Hopefully all goes as planned and I'll add a couple other turks to my freezer and photo album. i cant believe you, you get a slam and you are not smiling......sahme on you, in the first pic you have a lil one..show some emotion guys.smile.....it doesnt hurt, lol.......congrats on your slam.....you did good.........

Killed this bird in Missouri around 11:00am on 4/18/2007. Check out his double beard. Definitely a mounder. Take care guys and God bless.
