Youth day score First turkey

Well, today was youth day in NC and it is the last year i would be able to take advantage of it. IT started out at 6:00 with his first gobble, but the cold weather had him on a lil different gobblin schedule. He gobbled a few more time and then we had one behind us coming fast. Well, he hit the ground at 6:45 and shut up with his hens, but we were in his strut zone. Once the turkey behind us got there at 7:05 all heck broke loose there were turkeys everywhere and the boss gobbler came over the hill, full strut and drummin. He immediately went to the jake and hen decoy pair. Well i had my shot, but i was waitin on my friend to get on the other turkey so that he could shoot one at the same time. It didn't work out and they spooked out and my last shot came at 35 yards and i took it. He hit the dirt in his tracks and thats that by 7:11 i hadmy first turkey on the ground on the first hunt. I think it came to easy, LOL. The guy i went with did his homework and it got my me first turkey and a whopper at that 18.5 lbs, 10 1/2 in beard, and 1 in.spurs.
