Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Thanks everyone. I'm just going to wait for our season to open. I'll know for next year..
Come to Ontario If you want to hunt Turkey that are 25lbs on Private land. But you have to take a one day seminar course to get your licence.... retarded!!!

Turkey season down here in cental florida started March
the 17th...and what a weekend! I started off the morning
just before daylight, smack dab in the middle of our lease..
I already had three guys to the north of me...and one guy to the
south..and all the toms seemed to be at the north end and yelling
there heads off...I did not want to go north and screw up their
hunts so I walked west to the 200 acre cypress swamp
and sat in my deer stand...Well,... the gobbling to the north was
killing me...and was just about to sneak up there when a gobbler
in the cypress swamp answered my call..So I decided to stay put
and call using 2 slate calls and one diaphram call...alternating
calls...It seemed as soon as the turkeys hit the ground...they
stopped gobbling...and I was wondering where the heck they were heading..
Just about then two does showed up...the one on my right spotted
my decoys and just stood there looking at them...The other doe
was just about to the trail leading to the food plot and stopped..
and was intently looking down the trail...I didn't dare to peek over the blind....but I could hear him strutting in the trail...he eventually made it to the food plot...looked straight at the 1st deer...and then took a few more steps and now was right between the
two deer...they were about 15 yards apart...All he had to do
is take one more step to clear some brush and Bang...These two deer
jumped about five feet up in the air and hauled ass..20 plus pounds,
1"+ super sharp hooks and a 10" beard..
The next morning was pretty much the same...All the birds that
were gobbling were way off in the distance...So I decided to sit
in my stand and watch deer at least...I no sooner put my butt
in the seat and called and two gobblers 300 yards west sounded off and the two more about 150 yards to the southwest. When I started in
with the two slate calls these guys went nuts...and this went on
for and hour or so...Mean while a small flock of hens were coming in
behind me..and started fighting...now I have live decoys..eventually
a hen made it into the food plot and pegged me straight off...I dont
know how because I did not move...Must have been the sun off my glasses...So she started to leave ...putting all the way..so I
called to her softly to calm her down and then the Gobbler sounded
off at fifty yards or so....and coming in strong...So I get ready
and staying calm, cool and collected....Just one more step and
I MISSED....TWICE[/size=3] at 35 yards....AND I AM OUT OF SHELLS
Actually I did nick him in the leg and he ran off limping to the other end of the food plot...Finally found some shells...got down out of my stand and snuck around the corner....and just like that he was flying off to the next county..@#$%&$#@ !!!!
But I cant complain...what a great weekend hunt!
