Field or Fauna?

I'm waiting (VERY impatiently;)) for opening day.....and I had this question:

I'll be bowhunting, this year.....out of my DB. I have a chance to catch them coming off the roost......either in a field or in the woods. I can set the blind up on a field edge.....and set the deke(s) up in the field (and therefore set the DB up in the woods edge.....OR....I can just set up in the field, altogether.

I know "they" say that the birds don't mind the blind, BUT,......I KNOW which direction they'll be coming in on.....and I can't help but think MORE cover is better.

What do you blind-hunting experts say???

RE: Field or Fauna?

I would say place your blind in the woods edge.....especially since you know the direction of the roost. If they get hung up out of range, then consider the alternative.

I believe the birds don't mind the blind, but I feel the more coverage the better....especially when using your bow.
