Hey monsterbucks,, They can rise really fast if it rains heavy. But when it stops, it usually dont take long for them to go back down, unless it has rained a lot. Idont think youll have anything to worry about unless it really storms hard. Are you coming down tis way or the youth season this weekend? Its just kind of raining off and on a little bit down here, not doing anything right now. Heard a lot of birds yesterday morning and videoed 5 strutters in one of my food plots. Went back this morning and they werent doing much, but it was raining a little then. If its not raining in the morning it should be pretty good. Good luck, let me know if your coming down this way.

Wow wide is the creek? Do you have a place to cross regardless of the depth....that is the main question. If it will affect you from getting to a certain area, I understand. If you are worried about the birds...they don't care.

If your crossing spots are limited, it might be worth putting some big rocks in a certain area...or a log across the creek to help in crossing it if the water gets too high...if you have time.

Monsterbucks, not that zubba doesn't give out sound advice (I've read quite a few of his replies) but I'd suggest you don't do the tree thing he recommends. I'm only saying that for your own good because there seems to be quite a few humorists on this forum and if something were to go wrong in the creek crossing I'm sure we would readabout it for a long time (LOL).

Sorry folks, I know I didn't comtribute to the post solution wise but it's friday and I'm at workthinking about TKY hunting in the morning so I had to chime in.

I agree BKE.....Monsterbucks, don't put yourself in risk of falling in the creek and making the hunt miserable, but I would still recommend setting up something to aid you in crossing the creek....if it is a concern. Could be as easy as borrowing someones waders just to cross the creek.
