I have tried to post pictures of the bird I shot last Saturday. It is saying that the format I used isn't supported by this website. (I think it said that jpg and gif are supported.) Also the picts may be too large to download. Any ideas how to convert and make the size smaller? Thanks for your help.

llresize them so youcan upload / download them into this web site.

RD - Thanks for the help with the pictures - how do I get them from my inbox to the post? I really am familiar with the computer, but this has got me baffled.
