In my early years of turkey hunting, I would start in late February practicing my mouth calls so that I'd be ready by April 18th. After several years of devoted practice, I only need a couple weeks or so to get back to form now.

Pretty much start running the calls right after deer season, I would not call it practice as much as addiction!

Same here. I start messing with them all during the winter months. Not steady though. I hit them hard around March.

honestly... i have been fooling around with my calls on and off since the end of last turkey season. but it has been much more frequent since the end of bow season.

Off and on all year exceptstarting in Jan it is pretty consistent until April.

I'm getting better at not going overboard. I broke out my calls a few times so far but I'm sure as April draws near I'll be hitting them harder. I can't hunt until almost the end of April.

I was just thinking that I need to throw mine in the truck to be productive during my commute.

I practice withmine during my commute as well. Starting in Feb. Only mouth calls though, no others.
