I took a ride to a farm I hunt this morning.... I was happy to see all these guys in one field.... all longbeards. :)

Saturday morning I went out and sat for about 5 hours and nothing. I heard them come out of roost, but I think they came out of roost on the other side of the creek. I am going to try and sneak back down there this weekend to give it another go.

Called the motel I stay in when turkey hunting and the woman there says the turkeys were all gobbling every morning waking her up. My season starts on monday, I've got 3 days!

Well team, our season is less than 24 hours away and I have a very eager two year old pegged on his roost area. I am going to have a buddy of mine with me in the morning that has never killed a bird before. I hope that he is quicker on the trigger than I am.:D

I have been seeing two nice long beards behind my house and they gobble their fool heads off in the am and pm. but my son will have the first crack at them on the 21 st and the 22 nd of this month. It will be his last year for the early youth hunt. but when he bags his it will be my turn. I cant wait for May first!

Went out this morning and things are looking really good.... I heard 5 gobblers at daylight, 3 of which I saw in a fieldand then drove to a few other farms I can hunt and ended up seeing 10 morelongbeards in various fields strutting for hens from my vehicle. I cant wait till April 23rd!!!!!

Season opens Monday, and I can't wait!! I won't get out till Friday, gotta pay the bills, but I have a new place to hunt that is littered w/ birds....Should be good. We will be camping Thursday evening, doing some fishing, scouting, and setting up blinds......It's going to be a great time regardless.
