Heres how I feel about the Captains position. Since Pat is running the contest, I feel he would be an obvious choice as Captain. If Pat doesnt feel comfortable doing it since hes traveling a lot and running the contest, then we should choose another. But I think our first choice should be Pat. How does everyone else feel?

I say Pat or Deeg for sure cuz they definitely know what they are doing and are very experienced. I think we got a pretty good team overall, do we know how many have checked in yet? i hope we dont have too many no shows cuz we need to run this, lol. Bragging rights are priceless.

I decline as Captain. It wouldn't be fair to you guys if I am traveling as much as I will be.
Thanks though I appreciate the nomination.

Since Pat declined I think Deeg should be our captain if he wants to. Who else would be better than a Mossy Oak Pro Staff turkey huntin' fool! Hey Deeg, do you mostly hunt around Dayton? I'm in southeast Ohio near Zanesville. Another team name came to mind, Thundering Toms?

I would be honored to lead the flock.

OhBowguy, there are only a couple of spots to hunt around Dayton, but I do hunt down in Wellston, Ohio. I called at a NWTF youth event and hooked up with a guy, who took me under his wing like a son and I've hunted there ever since.

Thundering Toms, sounds like a great name.

Like I said in previous replies, we should use this as a means to contact and just talk about specific problems one might encounter with a hung up longbeard. I'm going to be on the road most of the time, but I always find a way to get online. If all fails I would gladly give my phone number out.

My schedule is as follows:

1. Florida (this weekend...EXCITED!)
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. Fort Campbell (Tennessee / Kentucky)
5. Arkansas?
6. Kansas
7. North Dakota (Standing Rock Indian reservation)
8. South Dakota (Cheyenne indian reservation)
9. Wisconsin (Fort McCoy)
10. Ohio (youth hunt...filming)
11. Michigan
12. Pennsylvania

Busy schedule, but I'll be knocking off one by one from the list only if I kill a bird on the first gig.

I'm headed for Florida this thursday and will be hunting down at Avon Park Air Force Range. Its open to public, but you have to get a tag in early August. There is also a military only area offered to hunt and holds most of the vast population of Osceolas. Since I'm military, it will hopefully be a good to go. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed hunt and lets kick some butt guys!
