For the Osceolas, I've found that an aluminum slate call has been the best. I have one called a "thunder dome", that I really think sounds horrible, but the gobblers really like it. I used a crystal slate for eastern and the merriams last year, it seemed to work the best. I usually will only use a box call to locate and mouth call when they are close, but not close enough...

Myself I love the Knight & Hale 013 4.5 reed cutter it plus some sweet sounds out of ole yeller is hard to beat. It produces every year so far.Good Luck

I love my Primos Power Crystal, and then mouth calls when they close the distance.

I use several slate calls. My favorite of those is the Black Widow. Also this may not be relevent but one of the most fun calls you can use is an owl call to locate turkeys in the morning. They are super easy to use if you get the right one and fairly cheap.

mouth call and slate combo, once I know he is coming I drop the slate and stick with the mouth..................most of the time.................
